Stage Lighting Design

No, the lights are not automatic at live music concerts, there is a person next to the sound engineer facing the stage and controlling all lighting options such a color, position and effects live in time with the band and especially the drummer. I've picked the fundamental lighting techniques from my videography and product photography projects and took them one step further to create atmospheric mood and visual effect for each song played live.

In 2014 I've started doing lights for local bands and venues where I've gained my experience and skills to program and operate lighting consoles.

As a hobby just for fun, I'm the lighting designer for The Legendary rock band and European Iron Maiden tribute band Maidenheads. Sometimes I also provide lights for support and touring bands, for my 15 seconds of fame, one of the bands I've worked with were featured on Munich TV where my lighting effects could be seen.

Zero 88 - FLX

I'm using the latest model and award-winning lighting console, The FLX from a British manufacturer Zero 88. For touring shows, I'm using this with an external touchscreen monitor and wireless iPad connection to give me more flexibility when building the lighting scenes before the show. The FLX can control up to 2048 individual lighting fixtures and store up to 240 show files.
